CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid Vocational Schools train individuals to respond in an emergency situation with medical skills that can ultimately save lives. They teach the fundamentals of basic life support, and instruct in the techniques of CPR and First Aid, as per guidelines set by the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.

CPR is a technique of mouth-to-mouth breathing and external cardiac compression to keep oxygenated blood circulating in the body of a person whose heart has stopped. CPR involves checking the airway for obstruction; administering oxygen via mouth-to-mouth breathing; checking for a pulse; and applying pressure to the chest to circulate blood.

First Aid (or Emergency Medicine) is used in emergency situations when patient(s) require immediate attention, including illness, trauma, industrial accidents, sports injuries, and automobile accidents. A trade school can teach trainees the proper methods of assessing the patient's condition, applying temporary bandages to wounds, applying pressure or a tourniquet to stop the loss of blood, giving proper medicines, stabilizing the patient, and when to call an ambulance.

Upon the successful completion of CPR and First Aid vocational training, a certificate of recognition is given to the graduate.

An unexpected emergency situation can happen anywhere at any time. With Vocational CPR and First Aid training, you will be ready to assist and possibly save a life!
