There is much discussion over the mandatory use of school uniforms and many parents are opposed of school uniforms in the private school because it limits self-expression and individuality. Yet, teachers and educators and many school psychologists say that it prevents clicks and means less problems with fights on campus and problems in schools.
You see schools seem to have a huge discipline problem these days because the students do not come to school disciplined as there is not discipline in the homes and many parents do not teach their children manners or force good behavior of these little rug rats.
When they get away from home they are worse and this is a huge problem in school and with larger classroom sizes, as the classes become babysitting facilities rather than places of learning.
Nevertheless the debate rages on and the students are in the middle, obviously they do not wish to wear uniforms yet private schools show that it helps in discipline and personal self-development by leveling the playing field and forcing children to work hard to develop their own skills and uniqueness and provides a little more competition in learning and academics too.
Some parents are threatening to sue public schools over the uniform issue and educators and school systems again are caught in a legal quagmire while the debate rages on. Consider all this in 2006.
